New growth in project management apprenticeships

This week is National Apprenticeship Week 2018 and it runs from 5 to 9 March enabling both employers and potential apprenticeship candidates the chance to connect on a more relaxed level and provide some insight into the new Trailblazer project management apprenticeships and highlight some future changes that are currently in development. The theme of this year’s National Apprenticeship Week 2018 is Apprenticeships Work, and it is meant to show how apprenticeships benefit individuals, employers, local communities and the UK economy.

There are two reasons for this increase and they begin with several organisations recognising the value of building their project skills pipeline to strengthen their overall project ensuring each project’s success. Second, the new Trailblazer apprenticeship Programme has made it easier for both employers and candidates for apprenticeships to become successful at achieving their goals.

The development of the new Associate Project Manager Apprenticeship Standard at Level 4 was created to provide better qualified and better-quality apprentices. The two-year Programme enables new apprentices to work towards their APM Project Management Qualification. This can make them better prepared and more successful in their careers. There is Level 6 degree apprenticeship in project management being developed that will launch later this year according to industry leaders.

With the strong growth in project management apprenticeships and APM-qualified project professionals, this shows that while other apprenticeships are still showing slower than average growth, the project management sector is valued and worthy of business and government investment.
